The "real" Tito Francona has died.

Tito Francona, father of Clveland Indians manager Terry Francona died Tuesday night at the age of 84.

He was one of my childhood, hometown baseball heroes in the early 1960's. I remember him playing First Base and hitting for average with modest power. You know how it was as children, we'd play baseball and imagine we were a certain player. Those were the innocent days of youth and I miss them.

RIP, Tito. Condolences to the Skipper on the first day of 2018 Spring Training.

This is terrible news for Terry's family. I really liked him when he was here in Boston. My prayers go out to him and his family.
