Only Fritz Ackley from the Steve Carlton rookie card came close. Moon did have himself a nice MLB career.
As a Cardinals team set collector and a Cardinals autograph collector, that is sad. I received a number of signed Topps cards through the mail from him.
In honor of Mr Moon, I am posting the rarest Wally Moon card in existence.....only 2 known. This is a 1955 Topps Hocus Focus (small) Wally Moon. This card was unknown up until a few short years ago.

Shane, nice card. Hope things are well with you. I remember Wally Moon when he was with the Dodgers in the early 60s.
Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.
The Hocus Focus 55 Moon is a tough moon alright
. Comes up about as often as a Super Blue Blood Moon
