This date has a mintage of 28,950 but is quite common in the higher MS grades. It tends to be well struck and with great color and luster and this coin is no exception. PCGS graded this coin over 20 years ago when grading was much more conservative. I believe it would be at least a point higher today. Never been to CAC.
A lovely coin at a great price.
What appears to be a scratch on the obverse below D and S is actually a mark on the old slab.
