New Barcode format hard to scan

I have a quality barcode scanner and the new small barcode is vary hard to scan. I get maybe 1 out of 10 to scan. While the previous format i could scan at least 99 out of a hundred. The barcode starts to far to the left so part of it is under the thick plastic. Is there anyone who can scan the new barcode all the time.

    I regularly image less expensive coins for sale with my ipad. Upon passing over the new barcode on the reverse, it is automatically recognized by one of my apps which presents a prompt, so yes, I can scan them easily.

    I owe you an apology - I’m thinking of the QR code thing on the reverse and not the obverse barcode.
