Show your no-pop So-Called Dollars (SC$)

I've heard that many so-called dollar collectors prefer their medals raw.

Let's see if anyone here would like to share one that is pop 0 at both PCGS and NGC.

When I ran the numbers a couple of years ago, NGC had slabbed about 1150 of the about 1450 HK-listed varieties. It helps that the entire Ostheimer collection went through NGC, so that accounted for a pile of the rare pieces right there.

Pretty much by definition the no-pop pieces are the rare ones, R-7 through R-10. On a quick calculation, it looks like the average rarity of a slabbed So-Called Dollar is about an R-4. There are lots of common pieces in slabs.

    Here's one that I think is still a no-pop example, HK-617a:

Looks like I have about three dozen no-pop pieces, although most of those are just different compositions of pieces that are slabbed in some other metal.

    Thanks Jonathanb!

I did a similar analysis of NGC pops in 2008 and seem to recall that there were nearly 50% zero pops at that time. It might have been less, but it sure seemed like a lot at the time.
