How/will PSA Grade a vintage card with old tape on it?

Wondering how they grade a card with old tape on it, will they slab it? Automatically authentic? Any chance of a POOR 1? Thanks! Pat

IIRC, you can get up to a 2.
Kind of on topic, would they slab, either with a grade or authentic(&/or altered), stickers cut from an album? I have all eight of Jordan's 1989 KOS Izvdavac Yugoslavian stickers that are hard to find but they're cut from an album and have parts of the album page & sticker on the other side still attached.

I've never seen it done with stickers, but I've got a pre-war card in a sub waiting to be logged that has the back mostly covered with the album page it was glued to. Hoping I get a number grade on it, but pretty sure it will be slabbed Auth at least.
If you remember, please let me know how that goes. I'd love to get those KOS stickers slabbed with whatever designation it takes. PSA has only graded one sticker of the eight.

You can get these slabbed, but they will be "Authentic" rather than being given a numerical grade. I have plenty of similarly album-cut sticker type items myself.
There are data outliers but the general rule of thumb for cards removed from album goes like this (and the way it works is almost entirely based on the back side, regardless of how nice the front looks):
Entire back side missing; entire back covered due to card being cut out rather than peeled off page; and/or thin enough paper loss to be translucent when held to the light (nearly a hole) = Authentic
Area(s) of paper loss but still retaining at least a portion of the original back as visible = Poor 1
Area(s) with album page paper still sticking to the back of the card, so paper added but no paper loss = Fair 1.5
Visible glue residue but still no paper loss or extra paper added, whether the glue is prominent or if you have to tilt the card in strong light to see it = Good 2
I have a ton of album-removed cards that I've subbed due to rarity where the condition was irrelevant, just to have the only one slabbed in my collection, so I feel like I have a large enough sample size to say the info in this post is pretty accurate.
And now I am realizing that my post didn't address your original question, which was about tape. You will likely get a 2 for a tape stain, or either a 1 or 1.5 for tape, depending on how bad the tape is.
@miwlvrn that is great news! thanks for all the info.
