What's the worst autograph you have and paid for?

I mean one of those situations whereby you paid for a signature and than said to yourself, "I can't believe I paid for this!" I know there's many factors that determine how a person signs, so I'm not looking for that kind of analysis, just signatures that disappointed you for what you paid. Here's mine: Andy Frederick. Got it yesterday; $30.00 for this. Inscriptions were an extra $10.00. I was going to buy two signatures, but went with one signature and no inscription. Glad my wallet stopped me!

I purchased a Joe Morgan ball signed the day of his induction into the HOF. Faded so bad it is difficult to find on the ball. Also a Joe DiMaggio ball has faded a lot.

Paid for a Boog Powell auto at a signing and he was using a dying sharpie...

PSA Basketball HOF Players Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 6.02% Complete)
This one.
I bought it in 2003 at Noe's in Toledo, Ohio. (Can't remember his first name- the guy that went to jail for political stuff)
The auto has mostly faded and probably will be totally gone 10 years from now. The scan was made in 2014. I could get a better one now but I'm not sure as much of the autograph would be visible. It's buried deep anyway.
Since it was already heavily faded back then I think I paid about $2 for it.
The 2002-03 SPx can be bad, too. Look at the glue stains on this one. And the autograph is partially covered by the window style used. Neither Mercer or Butler are bad players or autographs to have, but these aren't the nicest looking.
Would just be nice if someone is going to charge for a signature, they'd make an effort to, or learn to, write a nice signature. If it's for free, you get what you get, and I'm fine with that.
Here's Jordan Howard! Was free, but he normally signs this way, even when charging.
Derrick Rose
This has to be the biggest TTMA epic fail. Bill Belichick signs my card then instead of placing it in the SASE i sent with it,the card gets attached by paperclip to a signed letter from Bill on a Pats letterhead.

That sucks. If they had to paperclip, they should have turned the card backwards. Sometimes that prevents the crease from showing on the front.
I just can't see Belichick taking the time to sit down and sign cards. I guess he could but it just seems way out of character.
He's actually well known to sign autograph requests. He also has a pre-typed letter that he also signs then sends with the autographed item to the original mailer. Those letters pop up on ebay all the time like this one. I sold mine for about $35.

I'm planning on sending this 5x7 to get autographed by Belichick at some point but i don't want a repeat with the paperclip.

the dude is the modern lombardi....I would take the paper clip mark anyway assuming this is for PC and not resale.
Without looking through my collection, I'll guess it's the 1990 Topps Jerome Walton that I paid $10 or $15 to have signed at a show.
Of course, I got Jeff Bagwell for the same price at the same show and that panned out, soooooo...........
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.

it is definitely PC stuff but from what i've read he signs pretty much all of his auto requests so i might try again with the same custom card.

I didn't pay for this, got it at a minor league game. Drove 2 hours both directions a couple of years ago to see Alex Jackson, a then Mariners top prospect. I heard he was a tough signer and had major attitude problems but wasn't expecting this.
Appears he wanted a game of tic tac toe.

Barry Bonds was the worst. I paid for his expensive autograph and he signed it 'B.B.S.' which is how he signs them all.
Barry's Bad Signature?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
