Is Mike Scioscia (Manager) a Hall of Famer?

Mike Scioscia is currently 22nd All-TIme in Wins as a manager with 1570. If he makes it through all of 2018? He'll move up to 18th All-Time in Wins (Ralph Houk, currently in 18th place, had 1619 wins).

Twelve of the top thirteen managers in wins are in the Hall of Fame with only Gene Mauch at #12 not in. He most likely isn't in because he's the only one in the top 13 without a World Series title. #'s 14-17 are all recent managers (Dusty Baker, Bruce Bochy, Lou Piniella and Jim Leyland) and at least one of those four (Bochy) will be in the Hall one day.

If you don't think he qualifies, how many more years does he need to manage to qualify or does he need to win another World Series as well to qualify? He's a little over 300 wins away from making the top 13 managers in win totals.

Last, if he did get in? Will his 1981 Topps Rookie Card be referred to first as the Mike Scioscia RC with Fernanado Valenzuela or will people still refer to is as Fernando's RC with Mike Scioscia?

Seriously, why is he still the Manager of the Angels? HOF material. No.

Umm no... If there is any question then he should not be in.

No. Longevity resulting in stats like wins, hits, homeruns, etc doesn't make someone HOF worthy.

Like others said, good manager but doesn’t belong in the HOF.

Let's wait until he is done. Then we can reflect on his body of work.
