It’s a beautiful CH AU. I agree with the AU 55 grade. It definitely would draw a lot of attention at a show. Very likely it would be the only one in the room.
A very attractive coin, and I would not object to an AU-58, but not a Mint State coin IMHO.
While I agree in theory, that boat left the dock about 20 yrs ago. If no wear were the actual market criteria today, then about 90% of the currently graded UNC pre-1820 coinage would have to go back for "AU review." This 60-0 doesn't even have close to full luster, another "vintage" requirement for an UNC/mint state coin.
