Old Whitman Folder

I promised a newer forum member some folders for coins that had come from an estate that I had purchased ~15 years ago. I guess I never realized some of the stuff was that old....assuming of course that the last year with recorded mintages is indicative of the year it was produced.

What's neat about it is that the 1958 mintages haven't been disclosed yet, so they aren't included in the folder.
I wonder if collectors of that time realized that 1958 would be the last year for Wheat Cents.

Good point.....perhaps it was known at the time the album went to print.
Always loved those old albums...I’m sure a lot of collectors started with one. I know I did.

Yep, I still have both my Lincoln cent books somewhere - beat up and falling apart with writing in them, of course.
I think the last date with mintages in the later date album was 1972, so I had to fill them in by hand after that.
The older ones like this have the S-mints before the D-mints.

I collect the empty Whitman Bookshelf albums, and I have a couple for cents and dimes which have holes labeled "1965-D".
