Tom Brady injury
By Dan Gartland January 17, 2018
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice due to an injury to his throwing hand, the team announced.
Brady jammed his right hand when someone accidentally bumped into him, though X-rays showed no structural damage to the hand, reports Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald.
Brady did not meet with reporters as scheduled on Wednesday afternoon because he was being attended to by the New England medical staff.
NFL rules require a player to be listed on the injury report “even if he fully participates in practice and the team expects that he will play in the team’s next game.”
Brady has found himself on the injury report on several occasions this season, mostly with a right Achilles tendon issue. He was also on the Week 17 injury report with a shoulder problem, but declined to discuss it in his news conference.
Brady showed no signs of injury in New England’s easy win over the Titans in the divisional round.

Tom will be ready to go at 3pm on sunday and this shouldn't be an issue. I'm expecting the Pats to go run heavy in this game anyways seeing that's the Jags D's weakness. They'll be getting Burkhead back for this game as well.

Iron man is getting old.
News to move the point spread/$.
No worries, whether he plays or not Patriots fans are confident Hoyer will beat the Jags nonetheless.
Jacksonville should not be underestimated by New England, that is part of the problem the Steelers had. the Jaguars are for real.
some idiot in a newspaper claims that Tom Brady injured his finger on a handoff so that a finger bone protruded through the skin. He came to this conclusion without seeing any pics or speaking to anyone , he analyzed some tweets he saw on the internet.
Brady is two wins in the next couple weeks away from tying for the most SBs won by a franchise, they could cut his right hand off and he'd still find a way to be out there by kickoff time.

With enough air out of the ball, he could lob it with his elbow.

Brady has a hand injury and you automatically go right to visuals of Tom's flat balls...interesting.

Being a Lions fan, one always needed an alternate post season favorite team as the Lions typically were finished by December.
I loved Denver and the Raiders when I lived in the city, 20 plus years ago. Greatest respect though was for the 49ers. Great coaching, formidable defense and of course Montana to Rice and later Young to Rice.
Tried to warm up to the Patriots over the years but have not been able too. Local Tucson guy Tedy Bruschi had a good career there and of course Brady was a Michigan man.
Something always rang hollow though with the team. They would have been as great without the filming of opponents workouts and the Brady deflated ball shenanigans. It was always the way of the Pat's under Belichick to be needlessly deceptive and corrupt.
Point is moot now as all the kneelers have sapped my interest and I will continue to not watch the games, but will pick up some of the chatter on sports radio.
New England is odds on to with the Super Bowl and receive all the accolades of a 6 time winner. For the most part, deservedly so.
They will never though truly be champs!
A useful guide
Five Lombardi trophies and they'll never truly be champs? Yeah good luck with that. I think its hilarious you talk about the greatest respect for the 49ers when that organization cheated the cap for years while the great Jerry Rice you mention even admitted to using Stickum which was a banned substance while he was using it. I guess you need to learn the real meaning behind the words "deceptive" & "corrupt" because that highly respected team you brought up has a history of being both.

Plus they are always searching for their lost contact lenses.
One minute you're saying they'll never truly be champs then you go and post a photo of Gillette stadium with Cheers To The Champs posted on the scoreboard.

i live in Houston. saw this roughly 5 mins ago.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Lester Hayes was the king of stickum.
I just hope that the announcers/others etc. pronounce the "Jaguars" word as such. Not 'Jagwires", which I heard one commentator pronounce it that way this past week. Also heard the same pronunciation,"Jagwires" in and around some of my local establishments.
Its actually Jag-uu-wires
You have to be British to pronounce it correctly

I agree. Like the car-Jag-u-ar. The commercial of late for the car has the correct pronunciation.
Its official, looks like they have to amputate one of Tom's fingers now that he's selling a SB ring

Not his ring, just a copy he authorized.
Local Boston sports talk radio just reported that Brady's injury is just a cut on one of his fingers near the knuckle that required a few stitches. I don't know how accurate that is but the guy who put it out there,Mike Felger, is pretty keyed in with people around the Pats.
This was the quote " no fractures, no torn ligaments, just a cut on the back of the thumb knuckle, 4 stitches."

Either way, there is zero chance any of us will truly know exactly what’s going on with his hand. It’s smoke and mirrors to give the Jags something else to think about nothing more nothing less, if this was any other situation but a playoff game with Brady and the Pats it would be a non story.
Just enough injury to throw a few wobbly interceptions.
Heh.
I met him at a sports card show in a mall in Phx, Arizona. He was just walking around looking at the cards for sale. I was reluctant to shake his hand, for the obvious reason. Wasn't sure all the stickum was off his hand. And I feared I might not get my hand back.
At the risk of re-starting a hot topic, you do realize the Patriots didn't actually DO anything, right? The balls actually measured within acceptable limits and any pressure loss was because of the cold.
Also, they Patriots took a far greater punishment for, again, doing nothing than the Vikings and Panthers got for altering the footballs ON-CAMERA and ON THE SIDELINE.
I predict 2 pick sixes on Brady. I may have to end my NFL ban and watch the game.
Are you still in the PHX area?
He will be fine. He is one of the toughest players in the NFL. I don't think he's missed a game to injury in about 10'years

No. But IIRC Darrel Erreth (SP) used to run shows out that way. Perhaps you went to his promoted shows.
Table, thank you for posting FACTS on that old ridiculous topic.
A legitimate question- If the Pats lose this game and don't make it to the Super Bowl,
is Brady still the Super Bowl MVP or do they have to pick someone else?
I mean I already know if the Pats get to the Super Bowl and lose, Brady will still be the
MVP because they won't pick someone from the winning team over him, but I'm just
curious if he actually has to play in the Super Bowl to receive the award.
I detect bitterness.
I detect alcohol :-)
LOL. I'm just tired of pretty boy winning every award.
Wonder if he wins a Nobel prize this offseason?
I put him in for it...hope he gets it.
Brady looks like Bernie Sanders this afternoon.
He would be more deserving tha a few of the recent recipients
Lafayette Grading Set
I am sick of him and his team and his coach.
Injury, lost his best receiver and comes back from 10 down to go ahead in 4th quarter. Amazing.

May want to reconsider that one, lol..unless Bernie is the best QB of all time.

BRADY IS MONEY and the GOAT!!!!!
well we don't know what will happen in the SB but the NFL should definitely rename the Lamar Hunt AFC Championship trophy to the Tom Brady GOAT trophy.

At this point betting against Brady and the Pat's.....is just stupid.
I love this football team but man do they take their fans on a rollercoaster ride during every big playoff game. I doubt i'm gonna sleep tonight lol.
