After Feb 4th No more Sunday Night Auctions from Heritage.

As someone who has shown interest in our weekly online coin auctions, we want to inform you of an upcoming schedule change. After the auction closing on February 4th, our weekly Sunday Internet US Coin auctions will no longer be held. However, as always, our Tuesday Internet US Coin auctions will still be held each week at 7:00 PM CT.
Thank you for your interest in Heritage's coin auctions and please let us know if you have any questions.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
(Wow I have always looked forward to both the Tuesday and Sundays Auctions.)
Enjoy Tom

As long as they still have weekly auctions! Even when I don't buy anything for months at a time, I enjoy the browsing....
I'm kind of in favor. Having to look at GC and Heritage conducting auctions at the same time on Sunday resulted in a bit of overkill. Spread the fun!!
Wonder if the Tuesday auction now gets twice as big? That could be an issue....
I enjoyed the Sunday and Tuesday Night Auctions from Heritage...but the Thursday Night ones...normally darkside material.
BST transactions: dbldie55, jayPem, 78saen, UltraHighRelief, nibanny, liefgold, FallGuy, lkeigwin, mbogoman, Sandman70gt, keets, joeykoins, ianrussell (@GC), EagleEye, ThePennyLady, GRANDAM, Ilikecolor, Gluggo, okiedude, Voyageur, LJenkins11, fastfreddie, ms70, pursuitofliberty, ZoidMeister,Coin Finder, GotTheBug, edwardjulio, Coinnmore, Nickpatton, Namvet69,...
When i would look at upcoming listings, they would be split between the Sunday and Tuesday auctions, now all will be on Tuesday. From my view, I see little change. Just one less day to remember to bid if I was interested in something.
Wonder if they are getting fewer consignments?
I wouldn't think so....both the Sunday and Tuesday have been fairly well populated. And it's usually the lower end stuff they probably accumulate as part of their "real business" anyway.
I'm wondering if it just became too much of a chore and distraction for those weekends when they are also running their big Signature sales? They had to run them "live" concurrently, and it might have been a strain on personnel AND bandwidth? I thought I got a couple good deals during the weekly Sunday auction the same weekend as the FUN Signature sale too, so they may feel they are competing with themselves?
Probably a good idea to consolidate the action to once a week. Tuesday works better than Sunday as the marketplace is less cluttered then.
Congrats Ian !
This is not surprising at all. HA's weekly auctions have been dwindling big time over the past year. Great Collections has been taking over the weekly auction circuit with authority. Great Collections has a few advantages over Heritage when it comes to auctions and one of the main ones for me is the coin images.
Speaking from experience, it's hard to set up so many auctions on a weekly basis and to get enough material when you have multiple events. However, maybe we'll have to raise the number of coins we're offering to take the place for some of the Sunday night bidders...
And maybe it'll give us an opportunity to bid more as well!
