'83 Cello Box Rip (FASC)

This will be my last '83 rip for a while. Gonna rip a few other years for my raw sets after this. The '83 raw set is looking very nice, and hope to add some minty friends from this box.

We're going to put the '83 cards that didn't make the cut on e-bay. It will be about +/- 3,500 fresh ripped cards from these BBCE prior-sealed boxes in the picture. Will include many duplicates of the big three and HOF's. The boxes are available also, along with BBCE's label; but not the gum, wrappers or scratch off cards (does anyone want those?).

These boxes are toast:

This one is getting sliced:

Collecting PSA 9's from 1970-1977. Raw 9's from 72-77. Raw 10's from '78-'83.
Collecting Unopened from '72-'83; mostly BBCE certified boxes/cases/racks.
Prefer to buy in bulk.

    Halfway through.

Two Gwynn's, a Sandburg, two Ripkens and several others HOF's that don't make the cut. The Carter is dead nuts perfect 10, and will be assessed that grade in our book (the beauty of self-grading). and the Doug Flynn.....the Doug Flynn may be my nicest one I have; please don't tell Mr. Peanut.

2nd half of box was devoid of stars. Some nice centered cards though. I will post tomorrow.

Looks like your raw set is getting some upgrades.

Definitely envious of that Flynn. Tiny fish eye 1/2 way down on the left side but in the scan looks like a 10. Just looked at the pop report and the Flynn is now a pop 7. I remember that that was the next to last card in the set to grade a 10 ahead of only the # 692 Walling (now a pop 6). It goes to show that there's still a lot of gems out there in somebody's closet or in an unopened box.

fwiw, a quick scan of the pop report indicates that #324 Marshall, #548 Giles and #790 Grich are now the lowest pops at pop 3.
