Mounting memories (until PSA will slab them)
Finished 2017 with a pretty exciting add to my wrapper collection, a near complete run of Topps and OPC hockey wrappers. Would love to see PSA start grading and slabbing wrappers (T3 slabs would accommodate them perfectly and would be a fun new aspect to the set registry), however in the meantime, wanted to come up with a way to store these great works of art safely.
Acquired some high quality 80 pound black linen paper and had it laser cut to fit in a 6x9 "penny sleeve" for backing, some archival photo corners to prevent sliding around, and some 6x9 semi rigid holders for protection.
Commissioning a gorgeous koa box from fellow board member and world class artisan lilmule, for an awesome way to to proudly store my collection.
Not a slab, but hopefully the next best thing!

I'm happy with the ITOYA portfolios for wrappers. They can move around a bit, but if you pick the right size, it's not enough for it to be a turnoff.
...and those Pre-68 hockey wrappers are impossible! Nice!
Those are very nice pieces of art!
I like both of these methods for mounting wrappers! Love the hockey wrapper!
Hiya Michael
Pretty darn nifty and ingenious way to display wrappers.
I had a Wanted posters "proof" from the Toppsvault - picked up an unopened and had it framed together - it can get pricey to do this.
Thanx for sharing buddy - I think the way you did it is way easier to review and show someone vs those large and heavy T3 holders.
Good show.
A couple more steps down Topps "memory lane" of hockey offerings -
Michael,
Great to have lunch with you today and catch up. Next meeting I want to see these wrappers. Really incredible run you have.
Collecting Unopened from '72-'83; mostly BBCE certified boxes/cases/racks.
Prefer to buy in bulk.
Likewise John! A pleasure to catch up today and to discuss National festivities!
I'm definitely in for dinner and a CU rip-a-thon! Only 196 days until the show starts!
