Any chance of straight 9 on any of these?

Corners and surface are 9 worthy I think. Which will not get the OC designation.

Need better scans although the McGwire looks off-center and the Puckett looks like it has a bad corner.

    Doubtful on a straight 9. :(

    Thanks,

Thanks. I figured as much. I thought the Mattingly had the best chance.

I would say 8 for both due to centering. Have a Puckett, similar centering that I pack pulled last May, got an 8. My previous McGwire PSA 10 was slightly lopsided, but 10'd. My McGwire 9 is dead centered but has a frayed corner. Most of the other 85 Topps cards I graded got mostly 8's and look similar in centering to the cards above.

oh and I have fresh pack pulled 84 donruss cards recently opened from an original rack pack. extremely sharp edges and corners. swore up and down they would be at least 9's. nope, got 8's on them too. your Mattingly probably falls in that category too because of centering, but I would grade it anyways. those 84 donruss are tough. excuse my crappy scanner, but you get the idea with centering and perfect corners and surface.
