Update to the story
Update:
This started when I saw my first neg after selling on ebay for 20 years. The sale happened during Thanksgiving so I was surprised to see feedback about non-delivery so late. I sent him a note that the USPS tracking showed it had been delivered on 11/25. He still insists he never received it and is very dramatic about it. He then sent me a message that tracking shows it never got to his address, he referenced a city that wasn't on the Paypal payment he sent me. At this point I'm thinking he is going to file a claim with ebay, I sent him all the details of the purchase to show him that the tracking shows it is delivered. I even told him he should be able to verify on his My Ebay page. He replies back that he did and it shows that the card wasn't delivered. So I ask him for the tracking number he is referring to. I look it up and it shows that the item was shipped on Jan 2 from FLORIDA and has not been delivered yet since he moved and the package is in the mail forward process at the USPS.
I then replied that he neg'd the wrong seller, I sold him a card at Thanksgiving from CALIFORNIA. At this point silence. I sent him a request to change the feedback, after a few days he did.
So I wondered if I overreacted. Maybe a little, but he are the facts:
- He neg'd first before contacting me.
- He neg'd the wrong seller.
- Based on his feedback I don't think he buys that much. He should have been able to see that I card I sent him was already delivered 6 weeks ago.
- I had to spend time correcting his mistake,
- He was going to neg a seller who sold him a card the week before and was stuck at the USPS because the buyer moved and had a mail forward order in at the USPS.
You're call on what you want to do.

You should be able to win that dispute with ease, so long as you didn't change/edit the addy. Just post it up.

Are we not allowed to post ebay id on here? Just curious. Would just be easier I would think. PM sent

The lynch mob will get to him after they're done storming the PSA offices.

Couldn’t agree more, it should be in the OP of every eBay problem thread.
I don't like posting other people's ebay ID in a public forum. I have no problem sending it in a PM.
Also based on my communications with him, I'm starting to think this person is "special". You'll understand once I post an update.
I think it could be a libel/legal issue for PSA if posted on their forum. There used to be a thread with a list of who to block that got poofed a couple years back.
Bingo. The forum is searchable off Google.
it's not libel if it's tru

There's two sides to every story
Why $14.00, seems like a lot of trouble for so little money, Just my 2 cents, good luck getting your issue resolved.
Like I said, this is a strange one. I wasn't really concerned since for that amount I would have just refunded the money. For record I'm not in the ebay resolution process yet. Once it resolved itself, I'll post an update.
In 95% of these cases, truth depends if you are a buyer or seller. The last time I truly got ripped off was in 2004 when an ebay dealer stiffed me on a 2004 Contenders FB Case.
update. it's resolved but not how you think
how then?

Why would you remove your original post? Now the thread makes no sense at all.
@ndleo I don't think you did anything wrong here. This guy mistakenly left you a negative feedback when it wasn't even your card that he was waiting on. Between not paying attention to who he was leaving a neg feedback with and not contacting the other seller to inform them of his address change, this whole situation falls on him not you. This type of drama isn't worth any amount of money he might bring in.

Because I no longer think he was trying to scam me. I just think he is a newbie buyer that is not worth the hassle. I still have him on my blocked list because of the time I spent resolving it. I do think the Florida seller has an unfair neg coming his way.
So what was his deal?
