Coin world modern coin price question

COINS MAKE CENTSCOINS MAKE CENTS Posts: 1,907 ✭✭✭✭✭

so i know coin world prices are normally high retail. but some of them just seem insane to me. i don't do much with moderns so could use some help.

for example a 1998-d Jefferson nickel ms65 full steps lists for 100 bucks. i have 3 of them sitting in front of me right now that are part of my show inventory and i have a real hard time believeing anyone would pay anywhere near 100 bucks for them or even half of that.

for modern coins what is a safe percent of the listed prices to expect to get for modern stuff in coin world

I’ll pay you half that. If you confirm today via PM and ship them out to on Monday, I’ll lock you in today at $50/coin or $150 for all (3) PCGS-MS65FS Jeffs.

    It’s that easy.

Edited to add, that seems like “all the money” dealer to dealer. But, listening to that is like asking the fox to guard the hen house ;) Know your markets!
