Tim's vote is the only one that matters for this one
I have a 1980 Pete rose PSA 9 with a similar fisheye.

GMA 11
Only flaws I see from the scan are the obvious fish eye and stain on the top of the reverse.
Beautiful card.
Very curious to see the reveal. Wide range of grades voted for.
was going to vote 4 due to what looks like a crease on bottom left?? but 6 was lowest available.
at 1st glance I clicked 8
Appears to be tiny wear at lower right corner, great eye appeal...all adds up to 8.5!
I was thinking 5 when I first saw. I see a white line on the front of 3rd base. It's in the "r" and goes to the bottom of the edge. Fisheye is obvious. On the back, to the right of the cartoon of the guy holding the bat , there appears to be an impression about 1/4 inch on the green border where his elbow is. Is that a wrinkle on the back left border under "major leag. total and the word "One"? Is that brown spot common on the back top?
Surface has no creases or indentations, the main issues are the fish eye and the stain on the reverse. I am with the majority here as I think it is ~PSA 8 and plan on sending it in as part of a PSA Guarantee.

Tell us the details on the card. Did you recently buy it? Card that has been in your collection?
The reason I ask is the two flaws were easily noticed by many and in many cases if a card is returned it's because of a flaw that may have come from handling or sealing and is agregious relative to the stated grade.
I was one of those who got it right. Maddux, it is properly graded, I've seen lots of regular sized
75's that have a glaring fish eye like that receive a 9 grade. That's really the only problem, the minor
stain on reverse is nothing. Color is beautiful, centering outstanding, corners look great.
I wouldn't buy it as a 9, simply because the fisheye is too distracting, but I do believe it is the proper grade.
I think PSA will tell you that it’s accurately graded. I, too, wonder why you would be unhappy with the purchase when the fisheye was obvious.
I purchased it as part of a group of cards recently. I was aware of the fish eye on the front, just not the staining on the reverse. I do like the color, centering and corners which is why I made the deal in the first place.

As Darin mentioned the staining is nothing. Card is accurately graded. Fisheyes are incredibly prevelant on 75’s 9’s.
The back stain bothers me so I would have passed on this card. I do not buy cards without a back scan unless they are inexpensive. PSA is pretty lax on backs unless there is paper loss. Think it is graded consistently.
its a pretty classic low-end 9. any .5 is very unlikely because of the fisheye. centering and corners look reasonable enough for the grade.
