There is gonna be a ton of NFL fans screaming bloody murder again this week after New England just gave up a TD catch by Kelvin Benjamin of the Bills with 2 seconds left in the first half that got overturned by the refs. And that was just a play after Bills TE Charles Clay caught a TD where he controlled the ball to the ground then lost it on the roll over after landing.

Last week i agreed with the call because he clearly let the ball go, today Benjamin's catch should have stayed a TD. They hit the FG after but still took 4pts off the board. Bills playing real tough today.

Looking forward to the replays.
It was an incredible catch right in the corner of the endzone where he toe-tapped one foot for the 2nd one down.

Didn't see it. Don't want to see it. So tired of this. Replay is to make questionable calls right. It is making correct calls questionable. BTW I'm channel flipping between the Browns and Bengals games. So many empty seats.

In my opinion that was a clear TD
Refs got it right the 2nd time
NO TD
the 2nd foot didn't drag
it hovered ... VERY close ... but never made contact with the ground
if he had dragged it, you would have seen the turf dirt kick up
the only time the foot made contact, was with his other foot
then the ground
but he was just out of bounce at that point
looked clear to me in the replay
I don't know what you play you were watching but his left foot (the toe-tap) dragged across the ground and the drag mark was clearly visible,Romo even mentioned it more than once. It looked to be at least 5-6 inches across the ground.
Where last week James clearly let go of the ball with there being no doubt it was loose,it was 100% the correct call. This TD today was so close it should have been held to a TD where there wasn't a clear cut aspect to overturn it.

I thought it was a TD. also. At the very least, the call on the field should NOT have been overturned.

The left foot at the 0:07 mark clearly drags across the ground in this video. In fact it looks like his toes on the left foot dragged much more than 5-6 inches.

The left foot 100% dragged, that was never a question it was the fact he switched hands with ball as he was going out of bounds. It was a TD in my book but again they followed the rule as stupid as it seems.
It is what it is at this point. That Bills offense wasn't going to keep pace in this game today losing by 3tds. You gotta love Jimmy G's Xmas present to NE though, knocking off the Jags giving the Pats the #1 seed with a win next week vs the Jets.

The other teams in SF's division are going to hate Bill for the next 10 years for this trade. It has me wanting to watch 49'ers games but I got stuck with the Dallas game
Well to be honest, the Rams & Seahawks already hated Bill Belichick long before this trade was ever made lol.

Brick nailed it!
Two awful games. Bengals vs Lions and Bears vs Bowns in the elements on Christmas Eve. I'm surspised the refs showed up

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Well the Browns sort of have something to play for.
What about the catch that Tyreek Hill caught that was ruled a non catch in the Chiefs game

in Cleveland and other Northern cities we aren't afraid to play in bad weather. and yes, the Browns have something to play for --- a parade after a perfect season.
And they get the #1 pick.........AGAIN! You would think they could build a good team after a while.
The Browns also own the Texans 1st rounder and right now that one sits in the 5th spot in the draft. Houston probably loses to the Steelers tonight then face the Colts next week. If Houston loses that game as well, the Browns will probably end up with the 1st & 3rd pick in this draft. Seeing all of the 1st round picks they've blown the past 8-10 years its hard to believe this draft will be any different unless they finally find a GM that has a clue of what he's doing.

You could probably make an all-star team out of the players the Browns passed on.

Well no matter what QB they Draft they will destroy the kid by throwing him right into the mess in place. They should definitely draft a QB and sign a veteran free agent to help him and take their time with him and bring him along slow. Outside of a QB they need to stay away from skill position players and get both sides of the lines squared away, that’s a good model to start with

Well no matter what QB they Draft **
and therein lies the problem. I have been saying for years that the Browns would do better by using a journeyman QB and building the Team in other areas. they did that last year and have two very solid defensive lineman as a result. despite that progress their was an article today in a local newspaper criticizing the fact that they passed on local boy Mitch Trubisky who beat them with Chicago.
no matter what they do they face criticism. some of it is deserved but not all of it. their current QB probably isn't the long term answer but that can't be determined in one season with a bad Team. keep him there, pass on a poor class of QB's and build the rest of the Team.
There was a point when i thought if Garoppolo did get traded last offseason,i was hoping it would be to the Browns. They had the makings of a solid O-line with Thomas,Bitonio & Zeitler and they were going to have a ton of draft picks in both the 2017 & 18 drafts to add pieces around him. Wasn't meant to be though.
I can see why Browns fans would want to just go with that vet journeyman but we've already seen that recently with Hoyer & McCown and the results were still pretty much the same. They best record they managed with a vet guy was with Hoyer going 7-6 as starter in a 7-9 season but he was horrible down the stretch for them.
I don't know what the mood is around Cleveland but i don't see how they retain Jackson as HC if they finish 0-16 after a 1-15 season. You know his replacement will want his own guy at QB adding Kizer to the list of failed Browns QBs.
Maybe they'll go hard after Cousins or see if KC is willing to move Alex Smith or Chicago with Glennon.

If I was Alex Smith there would be no way I would ever go to Cleveland.
Lafayette Grading Set
Given a choice i would agree but he may not have that choice and he doesn't seem like the type of guy to pull an Eli Manning. He's exactly what the Browns need IMO,better than an average journeyman QB and he'd be great to groom a young QB under like they haven't been able to do since going back to Cleveland. Every kid they've drafted has been the "next" guy.

If I’m Alex Smith I’m going wherever I can get the best money period. It’s obvious he is not a championship caliber QB, he just isn’t.
He's got one year left on his deal and you gotta think if KC goes with Mahomes next year, then they'll trade Smith rather than release him. He'd be a perfect fit for the Broncos but Andy Reid will do everything to make sure he doesn't end up in Denver. The Browns have the picks to go get him if he's available and the cap space to extend his deal to keep him in Cleveland if they can get him there. the Cardinals are another team that would be interested as well as the Redskins if they lose Cousins in free agency.

He's gotta be better than Trent Dilfer.
He's way better than Trent Dilfer imo. He rarely turns the ball over and almost never loses the game for the Chiefs. Unfortunately for him though he's never been able to win a big playoff game.
