Which PSA service to submit autographed card under?

Question, I want to submit some autographed cards. If i just want them authenticated is this the service to submit under?
PSA & PSA/DNA CERTIFIED ENCAPSULATED ITEMS *$10
For PSA or PSA/DNA certified cards (red or blue label) valued under $250 that need the card and/or autograph graded.
ESTIMATED TURNAROUND: 20 Business Days
Cards with a declared value of $250 or more must be submitted at the Regular service level or higher, based upon the declared value.

And I think there are services that grade the card only, autograph only and both....but i can’t tel which one that is on the price sheet.
Thanks. Pman

No. That’s says for certified cards that need grading.

The OP is actually quoting the part about grade add-ons for cards that are already PSA/DNA certified -- i.e. adding card grade to red flip auth, grading a blue flip, etc.

The answer really depends on what the card is. If post 1998 and manufacturer certified, you can sub them along with any other for regular grading without requiring the much more expensive PSA/DNA service.

Ok. So for example i have a 1990 ProSet golf signed Arnold Palmer. I know i can get graded and authenticated, signature graded or just authenticated, correct? 3 options i believe....it’s very confusing. Thanks for the help.

Yes, since it is pre-1998, you'll need to use the PSA/DNA services. There are several different options: card auth/auto auth, card grade/auto auth, card auth/auto grade, card grade/auto grade. All are the same price and turnaround time. Just depends on your preference.

What is the market preference for an in person Michael Jordan signed 1990s card? Looking to get one slabbed.

    Thanks.

The market preference is high grade. If the card condition is in high grade for the issue, get it graded. If the auto is in high grade, get it graded. If either isn't, don't.

With statements like this, there are always exceptions, of course... Some people don't like auto grades at all or auto grades less than 10 (which is actually kind of tough). Some people would rather have a card that said AUTH than an 8 on a 1990s card. Just depends.

My personal preference is to do card grade / auto auth for all of my PSA/DNA stuff.

Thank you for that answer. I can submit a 1990s Jordan hoops card through the normal PSA DNA then without a certification on the card? I thought there was a difference for hand signed autos vs pack issued? Thank you for answering in advance.

There is a version that does not authenticate the card --- PSA/DNA blue label encapsulation. This is not very popular for trading cards.

There are versions that authenticate only but do not grade the card. Card auth/auto auth and card auth/auto grade are the choices there.

Also, registry collectors may prefer the card graded v. authentic
A graded card's weighted gpa is calculated higher in the composition than Auth. Which I believe is an automatic "1"
