    One of the great football announcers. Always enjoyed his broadcasting.

    I remember him best as the broadcaster for the California Angels in the 1960s and 1970s. He was excellent. And he was able to move on to a bigger stage which was well deserved. If I recall correctly, Don Drysdale worked with Enberg and basically took over as the broadcaster for the Angels.

    His call of The Fumble is one I'll always remember hearing...he was smooth as silk.
