1975 topps
I have a chance to acquire the full 1975 Topps set for a good price, I’m concerned about reprints being involved.
My question was, is there a full proof way to spot the difference? The seller is saying most cards were pulled from a vending boxes. Any help is appreciated

I agree that aside from the Yount, Brett and maybe Aaron and Ryan, the risk of getting reprints is low. make sure the stars look and feel the same as the commons. Look through them in the light. You should not be able to see through to the back. The cardboard should be the same thickness for stars and commons. What is the asking price and grade they stated? If it's a mini set, you have to worry about shorties. For regular size vending, the main issues are poor centering and minimum size where the cards are cut narrower (side-to-side) from the factory.

The price is 700.00 and the cards ( through images look EX-NM, seller says they look pack fresh. I’m going to see them in person on friday
I know it’s tough to tell in pictures but here are some screenshots I took of some of the cards.
Is 700 fair if they are in this good of shape?
Looks nice

At $700, that must be a mighty fine raw set. I would want to see them in hand before plunking down that kind of $$$ for a 75 Set. The images are rough but the corners are nice on the last group. Definitely do some research on similar sets which have sold on Ebay to help guide you.

Thanks and I’m going to offer 250-400 and see what happens after I see all the cards
$400-$500 for a nice NM+ to NM-MT raw set is reasonable. $700 is pretty high and would have to be a set that has some PSA 9 potential in the stars or low pop commons for me to pull the trigger at that price.
