I counted 39 bowl games this season.

May have been off by one.
39 bowls equal 78 teams. So lets say that you expanded the AP top 25 from 50...or better yet make it 75 teams, you would still need three more teams to fill out the bowl roster.
No gripe, just a callous observation.

It's not good. Way overboard

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Can't wait for Middle Tennessee State vs Arkansas State...nap time.
Kind of like getting a Dairy Queen after losing the little league game.
Remember when there was the Rose, Cotton, Sugar and Orange Bowls?
GEEZE!!!!!! Do they have a Toilet Bowl yet??!! Then Illinois could play.
Would park myself on my buddy's sofa New Years day. I'd go cross eyed by the end of the 75 minute Orange Bowl halftime show and around midnight it was all over. The magic is kind of gone now.
That was the good ole days....all 4 bowls were played on New Years Day!
I usually don't watch any of them now......too watered down.
I enjoy it as background noise but that's about it.
Theres no danger of me seeing any of them, I'm on at least a ten year streak without seeing any bowl games.
The playoff bowls are the only ones that interest me.
The game could be played in Flushing, New York.

Yes, the Giants and the Lions!
Haven't the Giants won a couple of Suoer Bowls since the Cowboys last appearance? I forget

Yes, but we still have 5. And 3 of those were in a span of 4 years.
The best bowls are usually not the most advertised. I love bowl season.
IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED
I can see it now... The Have Nots Bowl
Why should all the debate and attention focus on determining who is number 1?
This could be billed as the Epic battle off teams 114 and 115 to earn a place in the rankings, redefining the thrill of victory in that it rarely happens and the agony of defeat which is to be expected... With the only question answered being by how muc.h did they lose by. Style points matter.
One team may have the opportunity to create a new fan base by demonstrating that winning isn't everything.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
Kind of fills the gap until Jan 1. What the heck, I could go to the local one and say that I had been to a bowl game for a twenty dollar bill.
I tend to watch all the Big Ten games I can and the New Years Day games. We are on vacation between Christmas and New Years so I did to sneak viewing in when my wife isn't looking

How "soon" "some" of us forget.
Announced 20,000 attendance at the Foster Farms Bowl in SF. 6-6 Purdue vs 7-5 Arizona ($6,000,000 coach BTW).
Game took about 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Long time to watch game of mediocrity.
Who's playing in the Tidy Bowl!
Admittedly the games provide good background chatter while I am on the computer.
Two 6 and 6 teams will be kicking off about 8 miles down the road from me in half an hour. 80 degrees and I kind of wish I was there.
**** Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl: Akron vs. Florida Atlantic (Dec. 19, 7 p.m. ET)
Has got to be the most bizarre name for a bowl in history.
Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl ain't too shabby either

Cologuard Classic, golf tourney is a charming name.
Poulan Weed Eater Bowl was always my favorite.
Definitely tickets sold. I was stuck on a plane so watched part of the game for lack of anything better to do. I would say 3k or 4k people. Basically family, friends, and a few CRAZY fanatics of each team.
Bowl games used to mean something, like you have fielded an excellent team that season. Myself, I could care less about seeing two mediocre 6-6 teams fight it out, or a 6-6 team getting the snot kicked out of it 50-12 by an 11-3 team.
Bowls are fun for the gamblers and its great to see an alumni event bring a bunch of old college friends together for smaller schools like SMU or Toledo etc..... Bowls are an integral part of getting the entire nation together with as much representation as possible....I can always watch a college FB game.... no gambling necessary. Though its enjoyable to know the spread while viewing.
