Heritage 1972 BB auction

The #2 PSA set in 1972 Topps baseball was just broken up and auctioned off by Heritage. But this was one of their weekly Sunday auctions, very little to no advertising and not nearly the exposure of other selling options. I’m curious why a collector would choose this route; breaking it via PWCC would get a lot more eyes and potential buyers on it and if he wanted to go thru a big house why not do it during a catalog auction. I was able to buy several cards well below (some 30-50%) VCP, and most of these cards being sold looked very well centered. Whoever decided to part ways with this set left thousands of dollars on the table.

I have to say, I knew it was happening but I just couldn't be bothered to register for Heritage, which I have never used before, and deal with ridiculous buyers premiums. If it was on eBay I would have been all over it.
I have to add, I have bought from Heritage before both in their premier auctions and weekly Sunday ones, but their web site sucks. Very difficult to navigate around
I've been buying from Heritage for a few years (both cards and coins), and find their website very simple to use.
That said, I bid on 29 cards in last night's auction (Padres, Aaron, Bench and Reggie Jackson), and went 0 for 29
