Home PCGS Set Registry Forum

Hello All

Hello to all the Forum participants. My Two Cent Set has been part of the Set Registry for over 5 years. I'm not sure when the Registry got it's start, but it's nice to be able to share your set(s) on the internet, versus a booklet you used to get once a year. In the past, except for my two cent set, I collected by type and variety. Recently, I added a couple of sets to work on. Thanks to the Registry, I can watch my collection take shape.

Anyway, I wanted to say hello before I started posting. I've got some questions, comments and thougths I'd like to share as time goes on.

I'm not used to using this, so it will be fun figuring out how to use all the features. There was a forum a few years ago sponsered by Coin World. Krause bought the web site and Coin World dropped it's support of the forum. Now they (CW) have their own coin forum. Since then I've gotten away from coin forums.

I've been watching the topics on this forum for about a year. I just don't have the time to participate like some do. So from time to time I'll drop by.

    Thanks for the welcome!

I think I could definitly use some lures. I'll be going to Canada in about two weeks. I've got a summer cottage outside of Sault Sainte Marie Ontario. Great scenery and good fishing too. Maybe some of the lures you guys talk about could catch that big Muskie I've been after.

  • Welcome! I too like the interactive Registry. But I did like getting that booklet. I finally got my name in one in 2000, the last year they printed up a few copies. That kind of stuff really tickles my wife. After all once it is printed you will never change spots (at least that year!)

    Jon,

I believe the 3CS is going to be a long process. Those little puppies are hard to find nice.

It took me almost 10 years to get my Two Cent set where it is today and there's only 9 coins. The 1872 in 66RD was the last coin I bought, about 1 1/2 years ago. I had an MS65RD but had to have the 66 too. I was visiting a dealers web site and almost stroked when I saw the 1872 was on hold. I called immediately and was fortunate the individual who was looking at it didn't want it. Too much money I think.

I just recently tried to get the 65 it in a 66 holder. It is soooo close. Not this time, maybe next time.
