What is fair? (conflicted)
I sold a psa graded card (a "6"). Nothing big value something around $25. The card was old label. There were clear front and back scans. I have a "no return" policy as I don't want any funny business and feel like my scans speak for themselves (I know a SNAD can override this).
Buyer receives card and complains about surface of said "PSA 6" card. I personally did not see this issue they claim exists (creasing they claim). Buyer asks for return. My first instinct is no, it was graded by TPG, the card was clearly shown, and I show clear scans. Who is right? Should sellers accept returns on a card that buyer just doesn't like when graded by TPG like PSA?
So, I decided to accept return but in principle could I have just said "Graded by PSA" "I don't accept returns on graded cards". ?? This is a small dollar card but I'm thinking if it was a $500 card, or $5000 one etc. would you be right as seller to say "sorry, graded by PSA" no return.

Accept the return and move on. If you hadn't accepted the return they buyer would have just opened a claim and you would have lost. Personally, I don't know why sellers bother to add the NO RETURNS to their listings.

Exactly what JFK said. You have to take the return anyway, might as well try and make it a positive experience.

Don’t mention “PSA” at all....they have nothing to do with “TPG”, whatever that is, and are not comparable
But yes, accept the return....
Haha!...I'll just let someone else do the explainin' on TPG...
TPG = Third Party Grading. It is not a grading company but refers to any company that grades cards.

I've seen TPG used as Top Professional Graders as well.

I too get antsy about this too...worried that they buyer could somehow crack the slab and insert a fake and send it back.
As a seller, I would rather try to sell on the boards here, net54 or blowout or elsewhere. Plus save on the fees too.
I am strictly a buyer on eBay and over time have watched the rules shift from largely favoring sellers to now totally favoring the buyers, to the point I think as a buyer I am losing some good sellers on eBay due to frustrations with shady buyers playing the system.
I often see the do not accept returns in listings and wonder why sellers bother with it. It sort of seems like a challenge to buyers with bad intentions to begin with.
There are a lot of former eBay sellers on 54 that now just use the BST board there since buyers are subject to the court of public opinion there. One bad sale or one bad buy not rectified can doom someone there.
As far as no returns because the item is graded, I have seen enough compromised slabs and weird grades on cards to negate that as an all exclusive reason for returns not being allowed

I know that compromised slabs were an issue during the WIWAG scandal in the late 2000s, but is that still a realistic concern?
Well, I could've tried to fight it, but I took the return. When I got the card back I really don't see the creases he said were present, mind you, I shouldn't have to answer to this as PSA graded it a "6" yet I'm now on the hook for the buyer liking the condition? I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have returned the card if the TPG or PSA undergraded the card. I don't know, like I said, a little conflicted as at times I've got a tpg card that I wasn't terribly happy with, but not sure I would demand like this fellow that I accept the return.
I can see this thread becoming the new Yogi Berra-Berk Ross thread!!
