2016 Panini Prizm -- Silver -- Pop Report Question
In looking at the pop reports and PSA cards on Ebay, it appears that with the 2016 football, PSA just calls the silver versions "Prizm", whereas with the basketball cards, they denote "Silver" on the case and in the pop report. Also, when looking at the football pop report, I don't see a line, for Goff, for example, that says just the base card of the set -- only Prizm, whereas with the basketball pop report, there is a line for the Simmons base card as well as the silver variation. Does this mean they are lumping in the base card with the silver variation for football, or was there no base card for football? The Simmons and Ingram basketball Silver Prizms are going for crazy money, while the Goff and Wentz "silver" variations are not. Is this a simple case of the word Silver causing such a huge wave in the basketball cards, and the lack of the word silver in the football cards causing them to lag behind? I certainly don't see Ingram/Simmons as being 10x to 20x as collectible/desirable as Goff/Wentz...

All FB Prizm RCs are "silver or Prizm" Refractor type cards. Vets in FB Prizm are base.
Basketball Prizm RC have "base" non refractor type cards, and "Silver Prizm" Refractor type cards.
That's why Bball prizms carry a premium. And because Bball collectors mostly consider the Silver Prizm the new Topps Chrome Refractor.
Hope this helps.
Thank you very much. Appreciate the clarification -- and it makes a lot of sense, seeing the values of BKB vs FB cards from the sets
