I'd estimate it at $75-$100, retail.
Will easily sell double that. If you slabbed it a lowball collector might really go after it. As it is, a beat up $5 educational is till a $5 educational...
Even in that condition, I like it !!!
My best guess at grade would be a poor4(with damage).Est value, even raw,$200-$300 retail.
I guess that I was a bit conservative.
I stand corrected.
$125
I'm a buyer at $300.
Buying most large and small type notes and some nationals for inventory
This rag on eBay sold for $215. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1896-5-SILVER-CERTIFICATE-Educational-Note-LARGE-SIZE-CURRENCY-FR268-RARE/322729582399?hash=item4b242e9f3f:g:yd4AAOSwAypZtESI
Yours is better. I would say $300 is a fair offer (as above). Could maybe ask $400.
I've seen a lot worse. It is a good looking bill.
Wow.
I agree, $300 seems to be a fair offer. That said, I'm going to hang on to it for a while and may try to find a good $1 to go along with it. I really appreciate all of the help. I'm new to coins and currency and have a lot of questions!
