I sort of got sucked in but am staying with a date set only. I think I just completed it except for the Big Kahuna.

I used to collect Capped Bust Halves. Had a modest date set minus the 1815/2
Not sure why I sold them because I really enjoyed finding each date I needed. There are surely some of the most beautiful coins in this thread. Makes me want to start collecting them again.

I want to be hooked!!!! I posted this request in the BST board as well. I have $100 to spend on my first bust half. Does anyone have a PCGS coin that is straight graded for that amount? Date, variety doesn’t matter, just looking for a presentable coin to get me started. Some on EBay, but I prefer to ask here first.

I would like this thread to go on forever. Capped Bust Halves have been an obsession of mine since I found my first one when I was 9-10 years old. It was in the "peanut room" where Grandpa processed the nuts. O.k., I stole it. Throw me in jail. I caught "Capped Bust Fever," right then and there. My favorite American coin. Hands down.

Some PQ stellar examples here, impressive. Reluctant to share some I have or had next to the gems. https://i.imgur.com/XQFr1eA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qGUnLMx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Zrg3b.jpg

Your 1832 is a beauty logger7. What's the grade? I'd guess 55+-58. Probably wrong. I tend to go low.

53, maybe it is worth the reconsideration but reverse hit is an issue, etc..

Are you referring to the dig through the "L" in the reverse motto? That's a pet peeve of mine, the motto strike, but I overlook it if everything else is o.k.
