What a life and impact on the hobby. Read the book “Truth Seeker” recently, highly recommended.
My sole EPN coin.

Habsburg Talers

This news came as a big surprise to me. I was at the recent Baltimore show talking to someone who works for the EPNNES and he told me that Mr. Newman was still active and doing stuff. He was a true numismatist and legend of our hobby.
I have seven of his coins. Here is one:
How does one get a hater to stop hating?
I can be reached at evillageprowler@gmail.com
I will treasure my signed copy of his biography. A true legend.

The more I read about him, the more of an understatement this is, and the more I regret never having met him. He was active in the hobby for 99, count 'em, 99 years, always a champion for the truth. Still publishing award-winning articles at age 104. Endowed the NNP. If numismatics were an '80s arcade game, he'd now be putting EPN next to the high score, most likely never to be beaten. Congratulations on a life well-played!

Minor mistake above - my most recent EPN is the 1925 - not 1926
