Frank Thomas no name card

I have a Frank Thomas no name card that I brought to the Westchester Card show 3 years ago. Becketts was there grading and I had it graded. It received a 8.5 raw review. The young kid working the table had the card for less than an hour. Question is should I send it to PSA to have it graded? I've followed E-bay and I know my card is better than some graded 9 by PSA and it is the same or better. Will sending it to PSA make a difference?

Show us a scan! Send it in! Don't expect a 9.
not a very good picture much more pristine
That bottom border looks small compared to the others. Maybe that's what prevented a 9?
PSA 8 with that centering and corners

Almost all examples of the nnof exhibit poor top to bottom centering. I don't know that that would preclude a 9 if the corners/edges/surface are all really nice

Card is in mint condition has always been protected and never faded
Do you know 100percent of the history of this card? At anytime while in a pack was it ever involved in an earthquake, above 100 degree heat, below freezing temps, or was it always in a controlled enviornment on the moon?
I need to know before I give the green light on PSA.
Here ya go.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
because of the upper left hand corner, it is at most an 8, IMO.

Regardless of grade assigned, I think you would do well to have it graded by PSA. It's definitely a modern classic and I can't imagine most collectors wouldn't want one in their collection.
I agree with the others on PSA 8, but an 8 is still a great grade.
Psa 8s sell more than bgs 8.5s
All you need to worry about. Same as psa 8.5 vs bgs 8.5s and also psa 9s sell for more than bgs 9s.
So what do you think?
Or are you worried psa will give it a 5 and then the 8.5bgs is worth more.
Yeah, an 8, but still worth getting in the PSA slab.

Looking at the centering, it will likely grade a PSA 8.
Good luck if you send it in. Donato

Where's the bottom of the F? Maybe it's just the picture, but I don't see it.
+1, but this is authentic so it must just be really faint from the photo.
I'd personally get it slabbed by BGS as an 8.5, then try to cross it over to an 8 with PSA.
I'm not trying to be a contrarian but with BGS lowering their standards from 5 yrs ago and PSA raising theirs, lately all the crossover attempts have not yielded very good results. BGS 9's have come back PSA 8's and BGS 8.5's have come back PSA 7's. Your card does look like a PSA 8 on the picture but you know how PSA can be with the most tiny surface imperfection.
I'm not meaning to discourage you but these are the results I have seen on YouTube for the last 6mos or so.
I was off with the timing on the grading it was 6 years ago that it was graded. Have been checking all Frank Thomas no names on ebay and even counting the dots on card to compare and it is as good or better than the 9s. Should I take a chance and send it and what should I insure it for? Thanks for all the help.
Send it in. If you don’t like the grade you can always crack and send it in again
Here's my 9 for comparison, easily the cleanest copy I've ever seen.
this WAS a nnof:
