@ambro51 was the authority on this stuff, but he has gotten out of collecting after a bad experience with Heritage.

I'm sorry to hear that. I miss his posts too and was wondering if anything had happened. He was a great forum member, a true numismatist who loved sharing his knowledge.

I've left a few messages on this board and NGC for Ambro51/52 but he has truly bailed. Who did he sell to? Someone out there has a little penchant for these things.

JBK, I have a couple I would sell or trade if you have a particular grade you are looking for.
I met @Ambro51 in Boston once. He is very focused on whatever he is involved in. I remember his posts on Southern gold, Vermont copper and Feuchtwangers. All were well researched and informative. I agree, his posts were well thought out and enjoyable. I'm sure he's in his woodworking shop now creating unusual cabinets, etc.
I believe I own 3 different Feuchtwanger creations.
There are a couple members here that collect the 1 Cent issues by die variety.
The hit ambro51 took almost had me clinging to the porcelain bowl with symptoms of sympathy sickness :'(
