This is a cool set of coins and a cool coin board made in 2009 along with a pamphlet that was put together by the Cuban Numismatic Association. These are tough to find as there were only a few hundred made and I was lucky enough to notice it on Great Collections a few months back. I wish information contained in pamphlets like this are more easy to find as it helps educate collectors and adds some history to collecting coins. I had no idea Charles Barber's tenure lasted through 12 presidential administrations.

I'm working on a larger Dansco Cuban Type Set, so I was able to upgrade a few coins and learn a bit of history about Cuban numismatics! The ABC peso is really nice too!

Thanks for posting this. Interesting reading. I collect foreign coins manufactured at US Mints, and all the Cuban First Republic (1915-1960) coins are part of that set.
I find a nice cherrypick on eBay every once in a while. Just grabbed this key date. Looks like a 35 to me.

Nice pick up... it's got a little luster left. I'd say you are spot on with high VF given the shield elements and the star on the cap. Finding Cuban coins on eBay would be a lot easier if people could use the word "Cuba" in their listings. Was that under "Caribbean," "Patria," or "IslaCuba" ?

Looks nice! I have a bunch of these, my highest graded is a 45 too. Yours looks hammered for a 45 and wholesome!
