Been away for a while. Do you guys still do group breaks???

Hey guys, been a few years since I've been out here and nice to see some names of people I remember so long ago! Was just curious if you all still do the group breaks with BCCE??

Welcome back! We don't do group breaks with BCCE but we occasionally still do group breaks with BBCE :)

Hahaha, not much has changed. Sorry for the typo! Used to love doing them and am more than ready again.

Don't worry about the typo, I forgive you! :) Hey wait you say you used to love doing them and are more than ready again--are you talking about typos or group breaks lol?!?! I'm guessing both since you made a typo in your initial post :p . No seriously, welcome back--it's always nice to see one of the old timers come back--i've been on here 10 years but you've been on here for 16 so you have me beat by a few :)

Oh, the early, glory days. The drama, late night alcohol fueled chat rooms, such good times. Yes, I would love to get in on another group rip. It's easier to pick stuff out that way instead of going to the BBCE website and having to go all in on a full box.

i remember LONG LONG ago doing one of the first baseball and football breaks which was from the 80's each. Wish i hadnt ripped the packs and held on to them to have them graded!!! haha

If only the same vintage material was available today we could be doing them 3-4 times per year. Last one we did was August. I always watch the BBCE website looking for the opportunity to get another one started. Price has also become a factor in doing these. A few years ago we broke an 86 Fleer BKB box at about $450/pack and a 72 Topps BB 5th-6th series box and about $225/pack. That kind of material has mostly priced its of out of our combined ability to break it.

I have to admit, I've never regretted tearing into a single pack from a group rip, no matter how good or bad the outcome. Only regretted some packs I submitted for grading then sold without opening. The curiosity just gets to me. Now I'm really wanting a group rip!!
