Which way is the most cost effective grading method?

I am looking to get some cards graded (I will not be selling if at all for a long time) cards would probably range in value from $20-400 depending on the grade of course.

Should I get a PSA membership and send them whenever I got the money or is waiting for people so do the mass gradings and sending them to PSA (kind of like the one on the forum right now)

either or. you can join if you want, then do their bulk services on your own or join one of the numerous group subs that most card forums or facebook groups do.
