I am still learning how to grade looking at it through my loupe the corners look pretty solid. To the naked eye, they look very good.
I would say this is an 8 but wondering if it has a shot at a 9 or not...

Great looking card, but I don't think it would have a shot at a 9 with those corners. I could easily see it coming back as a 7 or 7.5,, although they are sometimes a little lenient on the Phily sets.
Yeah on the back the corners don't look as crisp. My scanner doesn't do the card much justice... I need to find a black background to put on my scanner I think. The scan makes the back corners even worse cause they kind of disappear against the lighter colored paper. But the corners looking from the back look pretty good...
Looks to me like 3 soft corners on the front and all look soft on the back
I don't see a 9 from your scans
Great centering and still a smokin card
Good luck with the grade
No chance at a 9. Looking at the back you can easily see some of the corners showing light touches. Shot at an 8. Good looking card regardless of the grade. Good luck.
thank you all for the input and the explaining why it will grade lower. Still learning all this grading stuff.
Wow - great centering! Corners? I'm afraid a 9 is not in his future.
I remember he was a consensus all american - and that makes me old.
no way, 7, 7.5
7.5 nice catd
Beautiful 6
I'm seeing a PSA 8, but would not be surprised if it came back as low as PSA 7.

Scan the cards again with the cover of the scanner open and nothing on top of the card and you will get a black background around the card. This will work as long as you don't have a bright light on near the scanner.
Hope this helps.

Thank you donato I will upload them again and update the post.
Here are better scans I think. For some reason, my computer made them a PDF.
Beautiful card of "Moose" no chance at a 9.
You're welcome, I'm glad I could help.

Did you "crop" the scan before saving Luke?
No I did not. Why?
If you crop the pic, it'll show up much larger rather than seeing all that black.
It wouldn't let me even crop it (just tried) since it is a PDF... maybe I can screen shot it then crop in paint...
Maybe an upside down 9

Just reading the back of the card,i wonder how many cards got ruined by rubbing a coin over the blank area to expose the hidden picture? Anyone here ever submit a card from this set with coin rub marks on it? I'm just curious to see how the grade came back.
@Luke1989 That is a really nice looking card, good luck when you sub it.
