Where do I turn?

I'm a coin collector to start off. At the office where I work, we were cleaning our the company safe and came across a folder with all kinds of 3c stamps from the 40s & 50s, quads, sheets, singles etc. Is there a book of values similar to the Redbook in coin collecting to get a feel for their values?

Your local library should have a copy of the Scott catalog. Beware, however, as nearly all US issues from the 40s and 50s are "service charge" items and have severely inflated catalog values. Most stamps from that era will bring a fraction of face value.

    All glory is fleeting.

I believe the Post Office still pays 80% face.
