I always wanted to see him but he has not toured in many years. There are not many I have not seen in my lifetime and have front row seats to see Kris Kristofferson next week at the route 66 casino in Albuquerque.

Trust me...catch Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons before he's gone as well.
He puts on a great show, as I witnessed last Saturday (game 7) at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi.

I am more upset by Robert Gulliaume. Benson was the bomb back in the day!

If they come to town...I am there. Caught America a few weeks back, decent but not great.

Johnny Rivers a couple of years ago was exceptional.

I thought this might be fun/interesting...
List all the performers you've seen in person over the years.

My list, in no special sequence:

    Paul Anka (twice)
    Johnny Mathis
    Hall & Oates
    Moody Blues
    Tom Jones
    Bill Haley and the Comets
    Neil Sedaka
    Julio Iglesias
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons (twice)
    Rita Coolidge
    The Everly Brothers
    The Righteous Brothers
    The Edgar Winter Group
    Uriah Heep
Bob Seeger and the Silver Bullet Band
    George Burns
    Chicago
    Gladys Knight and the Pips
    Al Green
    Roberta Flack
    Celine Dion
    Alabama
    Gary Wright
Bob Hope show in Lai Khe, Vietnam

I may have missed one or two, but pretty much complete. All performances had their high points, I enjoyed them all.

The Bob Hope show was pretty unique...just 3 days before Christmas, I had been in country just 2 months. He had the Gold Diggers from the Dean Martin show, Miss World, and Connie Stevens. Stevens sang Silent Night...it was in the upper 90s, a hot sunny day, you could have heard a pin drop in the sand...I doubt a dry eye in the mass of troops. Quite a memory!!

    Wish I had seen...

    Elvis in his prime
    Brenda Lee
    Barry White

    J. Rivers should be in the RRHOF.

We should asterisk the shows the women coaxed us into attending.

    I forgot...

    Diana Ross
    The Platters
    Kenny Rogers
Mickey Gilley x2...I'm personal friends with the drummer in his band.

How about Fabian...back in the day  He was a big deal then with "Turn Me Loose".

I think Garnett likes heavy metal. B)

I have seen most of the ones you guys have listed and many more of the old country western stars but am having trouble even remembering their names now. I recognize the names when I see them but could not even begin to put a list together. My mind is not nearly as sharp as it used to be even 5 years ago.

Well back to the original topic, it's amazing someone named 'Fats' made it to 89.

I saw the Ink Spots, way back in the 80's, during a high-class luncheon at my Uncle's country club..........betcha no one's seen them.

The Ink Spots originally formed the the early to mid 1930s. They did at least two records for Victor in 1935- a very different sound then from their later sound that made. The Victor sessions are outstanding as are the Mills Brothers Brunwick sessions from the 1931-1934 time frame.
