Here are examples of the 4 main types of Victorian Florins, the last two in proof condition.
Together with halfcrowns ,double florins and crowns, these are wonderful examples of the numismatic art of the period.

The non-1849 Gothic florin is possibly the my most favorite design.

I think they are all pretty good, but if I had to pick one, I would agree.
I really like both the early types, but I agree, the Gothic is my favorite.

I've always liked the Old English script on the gothic florins...
The Godless 1849 Florin shown here is the Terner Collection piece, and the 1852 is better Struck than normal on the obverse IMO.
