Just purchased a jordan PSA card with a bad cert number

Just got this MJ in the mail and when i went to add it to my PSA inventory it keeps coming up as "Bad Cert Number."

Has this happened to anyone else here?

not too me. did you try calling PSA to confirm?

Not yet but i'll definitely do that when i get a chance.

I would try scanning the barcode to see if it comes up with the same cert #.

I just tried checking a bunch of the adjacent cert #s in both directions, only the one ending in 65 came up with anything, and it was a 91 Jordan SLU. Not sure if it's a database issue or potentially something nefarious, but a call to customer service and/or scans of front/back sent via email is probably in order.

You wouldn't think anyone would mess with a card for that kind of money?

I will say - the one cert around that number has the PSA holo on the front - yours doesn't seem to look that way but it could be the scan. Again - why - for a card less than 50 bucks?

Oh i definitely don't think it was the seller messing around especially not when it was just a $30 card. I'll give PSA a call monday morning and see what they say.

edit: the seller also had a 92 Slu listed that i was interested in and just checked that number ending in 67 and that one wasn't in the database either.
