Hello,
Just wanted to let everyone one know to be wary if you win a item on Ebay from Chris Thomas his user ID is gerdrvn. About a month ago I won a 1940-D Washington Quarter in a PCGS MS67 Holder that upon arrival I noticed a crack running along the complete edge of the holder. I sent the coin to PCGS for verification and received a letter saying the holder had been tampered with. Apparently the holder was cracked open, the original coin taken out and another coin of lesser quality put in its place and then the holder was put back together. Mr. Thomas has refused to refund my money. Ebay and my Credit Card Co. hve been notified of the scam. If there is anything else I can do please let me know.
Thanks
Joe

You will be better trying to reverse charges on your credit card... I am embarrassed to say that I was ripped for 700$ for a computer I purchased on EBAY last summer. Ebay told me to file a fraud report, which i did, and never heard from EBay again. I wrote a letter to my credit card company explained everything, gave them names address, photocopies of emails, etc etc, and after about 30 days of them investigating I received a full refund with interest.
In my opinion if you take the time to explain things to the credit card company you have a better chance of results.

Sorry to hear about the bad trades. Ebay itself is almost useless if you have a problem. I wouldn't think twice about collecting from thier insurance policy. They have absolutely no consideration for seller also. My favorite one is how BillPoint will send you a payment notice with the customers address but then when there is any problem they hit the seller with a chargeback months after the item was sent. Then they give you 5 days to come up with the signiture card that takes the post office weeks to send. Oh, now you have me started!
Thanks for the heads up!

Oops! Wrong forum!
Seriously, sorry to hear of all the sh*t this guy is putting you through. Can PCGS help since it was their slab that was tampered with? Perhaps you have some unknown cc protection insurance and can cancel the payment.
Good luck, and keep us updated.
Oh, and NUKE the bastid with neg. feedback!!!
