Confederate EPQ holder.

Hi. A rookie question. Please advise.

A nice Confederate t-65. http://www.ebay.com/itm/T-65-100-Confederate-Note-Dark-Red-64-EPQ-/262808348516?hash=item3d30992764:g:JAMAAOSwYvFZIL0N

Not my note. Look at the grade. It says See Comments with a numerical grade of 64.
You look at the comments on the back. It only says Exceptional Paper Quality.

Question: Is this just a fluke from grading. Normally you see EPQ on the other currency slabs
on the front. Not a reference to the Comments for the EPQ designation.

Thank you.
Charlie.

When PMG first started grading notes, they did not use the EPQ designation. When they did start adding EPQ to its holders, initially, they placed it on the back of the holders. Later on, they finally moved it to the front of the holder. As an aside, you will occasionally see it mentioned in an auction catalog where they talk about "early holders" where PMG did not use the EPQ designation. These "early notes" can be spotted by the inventory number placed on the back by PMG (if you know how to figure out the code).

T-65 is a great note, particularly in red.
