I'm new and this could be fun.
1951 Wheaties Premium Photos Ben Hogan - Letter I card ('I' like Ice)
Anybody collect them? Anybody have any for sale? Looking for Bob Feller, Phil Rizzuto or Jack Kramer (tennis)
I have 9 of the 12 cards in the set and I just love them. Here's one you won't see every day - a PSA 1 of 1.
Let's see your rare cards!

Love the Ben Hogan pose.
Here is one of my rarer cards. A 1990 Score Promo card of Nolan Ryan. I don't think more than a handful of these exist in graded or ungraded form.
Donato
Donato's Complete US Type Set ---- Donato's Dansco 7070 Modified Type Set ---- Donato's Basic U.S. Coin Design Set
Successful transactions: Shrub68 (Jim), MWallace (Mike)
Rookie card of the All-Time Home run King. 868 homers and only 4 of these graded by PSA.
Cool cards guys.
I don't have anything that's rare or scarce.
I believe this to be a 1/1, unless someone can prove otherwise!
Only one I know of. Multisport set issued in packs and intended to be glued into an album.
This is my favorite...
I love the Spanish writing to go along with the Venezuela Topps card.
buying O-Pee-Chee (OPC) baseball
Not the rarest card I have but pretty scarce. No 1984 set is complete without it
Couple other hard to find items
Bowman Baseball -1948-1955
Fleer Baseball-1923, 1959-2007
Al
I'm buying Al a decent scanner for Christmas.
I think it is not the scanner, it's the scanner
I did a little better on these
But not on this
Bowman Baseball -1948-1955
Fleer Baseball-1923, 1959-2007

Oh, without a doubt there's operator error, too. That goes without saying.
This doesn't look like much but I was glad to find an example of the card. It's a 1985 Dominican Winter League sticker it took me a couple years to track one down. The guy ended up selling me a bunch of unopened packs of these as well but I never pulled another Fred McGriff so I could get a condition upgrade.
What is the Mossi?
Alex Relyea
Topps 1955 Stamp. Unissued test set. There is partial known checklist in the SCD Standard Catalog. Along with the 61 Dice, 66 ( not 67) Punch Outs, 70 Cloth, and 71 Rookie Artists Proofs, the toughest Topps stuff to find ...at least in my experience. Topps 80 Coins are tough too
Can you identify these players
Her's the checklist but does not help much
a 61 Dice example
1980 Topps test coins...Garvy, Carew and Jackson, only 3 players in the set
Bowman Baseball -1948-1955
Fleer Baseball-1923, 1959-2007

Allen, Fregosi and Mantle
This is my only rare card. I have tons of condition rarities but no other truly rare cards. This is the only known Andre The Giant blank back. PSA isn't really into grading blank back cards and wouldn't holder it so I sent a sub to SGC at the time and they holdered it. Cool card.
Love the Andre and the Cassius Clay cards........
Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable
Just got these two back from PSA today and are officially my two rarest cards. Both are the only copies graded in the Pop report.

Cool. Great idea for a thread. I don't qualify to submit but enjoy watching....do my Kmarts qualify yet?
No one is going to compete with Al and his collection. His stuff is amazing.
Nice cards everyone!
I can't speak to how rare this card is, but it was a prize card for the 1997 Upper Deck Predictor contest; essentially, each contest card had 4 scratch boxes, the owner scratched one, and if the player achieved that feat in the 1997 season, it could be sent in for a special acetate card. I remember when I was 13 scratching an ARod and being disappointed that I had chosen "hit for the cycle." 3 or so weeks later, he did it, so of course I redeemed it.
What makes this Frank card special is that Frank didn't achieve any of the feats on his contest cards, subsequently, this card wasn't released in a traditional sense, and should have been trashed. This particular copy was sent to Beckett as a file copy.
Ok fine, it's a 1/2 / 1/2.
Considering it was printed on thin paper instead of cardstock, I think it's held up quite nicely!
We need to get Bob ( bobsbbcards} in here to see some really rare stuff

That's why I started the thread! Shake the trees! Let's go; cards are supposed to be fun!
I want to see cabinet cards and some T206s,
From Three Finger Browns to your Bowman Chrome Nix's.
A Honus for Jimmy, an Aaron for Harry!
A card where instead of Yogi it's Larry.
Show me some Tinkers, your Evers, your Chance,
Or the just pack pulled auto that caused you to dance!
If your not sure if it rare just go on and post,
And hold the card close while I make a toast:
To the small cardboard rectangles we all hold so dear,
And the ones that make just us grin ear to ear.
Our small little treasures of great icons passed,
That we use to help make special memories last.
Raise a glass to your cards and until we meet again,
May your very next submission yield a PSA 10.

I've heard of him! He hit a couple home runs this year, no?
WHAT A BEAUTY!

Okay, you asked for it.
I believe there are two, possibly three of these known.
1937 Lucky Heart premium
This is actually a photogravure from D.H. Murnik in 1937. Two known to exist.
Two known to exist. Although, admittedly, I haven't checked in a few years.
1955-56 Figuritas Deportito, from Argentina, only one known to exist
Two or three known to exist, IBHOFer, Only reason he was never World heavyweight champion was because John L. Sullivan wouldn't fight a black man. Took Jaes Corbett 61 rounds before they both agreed to a draw. Whooped Peter Maher in 3 rounds (he won 100 bouts himself and is in IBHOF). This is from the very rare Australian issue, not the common English set of these cards.
I hardly ever post here, but you asked for some cabinets and prewar players, so here are a few of my more unique items.
1880-1890s cabinet of Minneapolis Millers player believed to be Fred Rehse who played only a handful of games around 1888, but somehow he still managed to get this cabinet and 6 Old Judges.
E Cy Young Error Back - I'm only aware of 2 baseball players with the E78 prize fighter backs
E93 Mathewson blank back
E92 Crawford with Red Crofts Candy back 1 of 2
Great stuff X2
Bowman Baseball -1948-1955
Fleer Baseball-1923, 1959-2007
Al
BoB - do you have an entire partial blackless run? Those are incredible.
Loving the pre-war pics as well.
Unfortunately just these 4 and this guy, but I'm happy to have what I have and don't expect to ever finish the run.
That's the only thing that has kept me from trying, I couldn't see a way to complete without going insane looking through vast quantities of 90T.
Wow - amazing stuff posted here. I have a few rare condition items, but this is likely the rarest item I have. There have been 3 graded by PSA, a four, five and this six:
I was looking for that one for a few years and was lucky to acquire it a few months ago.
The Doomsday Collection
Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor | All-Time Dallas Cowboys | Bob Lilly Master | Pro Football HOF Dallas Cowboys
That blank back Matty is so nice. Made me think of an oddity I have. Anyone want to guess the significance of this piece?

Never knew a 1980 yankees team card existed with billy Martin
IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED
Talk about some white whales...congrats on the mcgriff...happy hunting guys....keep sharing
Jefferson Burdick backstamp? Picture taken after his below the belt DQ in the Phoenix bout?
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
Yup, Burdick backstamp. Karthik actually spotted it about an hour after I posted it and PMed me. Funny thing is, I got it off a seller in England. Just happened to check the back scan and had a "wait a minute..." moment. Then spent a brutally long week wondering if anyone else saw it. No one did and I ended up getting the card for $6 delivered from England. Jackpot.

Been away for a while.....Photobucket had me so bummed out about posting pictures that I have stayed away. I didn't realize I could post pictures directly here. I am going to try now.....
This is a 1955 Topps Hocus Focus Harvey Haddix and the previously unknown Wally Moon. It was discovered only a few years ago. Al (bishop) has one. These are the only 2 that we believe exist or at least are known to exist.
Shane
My experience is the Topps 55 Hocus Focus baseball subset is the toughest issued Topps baseball set to complete. I still need 2. Only the Topps unissued test sets are tougher.
It is a pretty drab set , but what can you expect from a set that required a scissors and spit to assemble. Wonder if you can do DNA tests on Topps Hocus Focus and Magic Photo issues.?
