Coin guy with stamp questions

Okay, be nice.
I picked up a Scott's International Postage Stamp Album Part 2. It was in a recycle pile so it was really cheap : )
Looks like It has a few hundred stamps in it. U.S. China, India, Germany bulks out much of it. Some canceled some not.
What should I be looking for here? I wont lie, stamps intimidate me.

    See if your local library has the Scott Stamp Catalogs for those countries. Look for stamps with high catalog values and forget the rest. Don't be surprised if you don't find anything of note. There was probably a reason it was in the recycle pile.
