Sports Patch Identification ... Penn State?

I picked up this patch at a flea market thinking it could be a Penn State patch, but so far I have been unable to identify it. Any ideas? Purchased in suburban Philadelphia.

I don't think it has anything to do with penn state. Most likely from a local high school or something along those lines. Probably a varsity patch or a custom made patch.

The company is still around and does have a website:

Take it from the guy with that helmet as his avatar- that is not a Penn State logo

I suspect the others are correct and it's not a PSU logo, but is it possible it's from an old Blue Band uni?

    That's a cool patch.

Looks like the 40s or 50s?

Made in PA - so I'm having trouble figuring a name.

The company is still in business - I contacted them and left a URL of the patch - perhaps they'll get back?

I'm guessing they don't keep archives?
