Kids book on foreign coins

One of my primary goals in coins is to get kids involved
I am working on a book for kids on foreign coins, including cool designs, rare coins, great stories with my good friend
and IMO one of the top numismatist on several areas of coins, Mark Sportack.
Looking for people to contribute ideas, review, perhaps coins.
This will be non-profit, free downloadable/viewable online book
Thanks

How interesting. I just attended a writers conference and just happened to sit in on a session relating to child picture books in which the speaker who is with one of the "Big Five" publishing houses addressed what goes into a children's book and its "plot" structure whether fiction or non fiction. While your proposed project appears to be intended to go in a different direction, it certainly would not hurt to include traditional story telling structural elements to add interest such as repeated conflict points and an ultimate resolution. In any event, good luck on the effort.
kids zoo w/animal coins
I believe there are only about 5 coin books specifically written for kids (ages 6-12), I had written two of those.
When I have done seminars for kids, they loved and were fascinated by the lure stories of some of our fascinating coins.
They also thought coins such as the dinosaurs on Canadian coinage was cool.
I am also seeking kids to write about their enjoyment on coins. Sometimes the best teacher is from those peers who
have already experienced something. A kid sharing their enjoyment of coins can be very motivating for another.
Objective is to get interested and involved in coins, then hopefully they will branch out.

This sounds like a lot of fun. My 10 year old has been collecting for a year + and is having fun. I'll check to see if he might be interested in contributing a story/thoughts.
