in a birthday note can the year come first?

I got a $50 today at the bank with the serial number MG 19810317 , Is year month day ok or does it have to be day month year?

I wonder if I put it on Ebay a leprechaun will bid on it . I just tried to scan it to post an image and my scanner refused , :D it said "currency detected" I'd swear I have scanned bills before that surprised me.

Its not an unc but it isn't terrible

  • I think that's the 2nd-best type birthday note to have, and there are many others, it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

To computer programmers like me, that is the best way to order the date, starting with the most significant (years) and ending with the least (day). But it is up to that beholder.
