Submitted 15 for review as part of my membership renewal. Had hoped to hit on 1 of the 3 76 Brett's but no such luck for the 8.5. The Stengel is a nice card - was an 8 and thought 8.5 was possible but excited for a 9!!

Just wanted to share with the board. Thanks guys.

Steve

I like your strategy of reviewing the 1976 Topps George Brett's. Very low probability but with the payoff being so huge it is a great risk reward submission.

I would imagine the bump paid for the sub. True?

    Thanks Dpeck.

Sub only cost me shipping plus membership so it worked well.

Have to look at prior closed sales for the Stengel but pop shows 42 so thinking it may be $500-750 card.

    Nice!
I wouldn't mind seeing scans of all the Brett cards.

Will post the Casey and Brett's once mail arrives.

Does anyone know if PSA logs the cert numbers so they can tell when a card comes back for a second review? Or thurs, fourth, etc. Just wondering whether a re-re-review ever works.

    Thx

Crack open the slab and send it back if you want it re-graded.

I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.

Updated with scans of the Stengel and the Brett's. Really hoped to get 1 .5 bump on a Brett but no such luck. They are all very solid 8s.

The top left corner of Stengel looks touched/dinged, not 9 quality IMO

I don't see any ding on that corner. I think what you are seeing is a reflection of the light.

    Really nice.

From what I remember the 76T Brett is a tough one.

I like the Casey - I have a small lot that I picked up over 20 years ago - no stars and definitely no 9s!

Don't you wish PSA would send back their observations as part of the review fee for cards that don't receive upgrades. I think it would help rationalize the fees charged, making it a win/win.

Last month I received a card back with a post-it on the back that gave me an explanation, and was delighted so that at least I understood their observations.

Hopefully someone here reads this and runs with the idea.

    HAPPY COLLECTING!!!

Love that idea. Very cool to get a stickey with feedback.

BTW - my Stangel only has glare on top left not a touched corner.

I'm dissapponted that none of the Brett's got a bump. They are all solid 8s and of 8.5 is biased towards strong centering, at least 1 of the 3 should qualify.
