i do not know if its an ashtray or maybe something for display but i picked this up from goodwill for $2.99

    Yes, it is an ash tray. There is one up for sale on a site called Gorilla Baseball for $50. There Wes's one up for auction on another website for $35, but it did not sell.

    I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff. If I'd have seen that KC A's ceramic glove/ashtray, I'd have bought it, too, without even giving it a second thought. It's always neat to find items like that when browsing garage sales, thrift shops, or goodwill stores. Thanks for sharing.

    Cool item.

    Based on the team and location, it's most likely "period" - I look for baseball shaped banks from the 50s - 60s.

    Nice pick up for the price of fries.

    thanks . was told the ashtray is somewhere between 1955-1967
