I am sending in major HOF'ers from multiple sports for review, both Express and Super Express. When filling in the notes is there any information that should be given that might affect the grade. I don't want to ask that they be placed in new holders as that would make it seem that they won't bump. Anybody want to share some best practices?

Asking for a re-holder is not going to affect the outcome. In fact, I think they do it anyway.

There's no magic answer or words to share with PSA on reviews. Sometimes you get a bump and sometimes you don't.I would just say I have had the best luck with 8.5's getting bumped to a 9.

    Definitely reholder.

If the cards are in pre 2008 holders and have decent centering, they likely have shots at 0.5 bumps....if that type of bump is worth lots of money, i would resub for review vice reholder....you csn out notes like min grade 8.5, but reholder regardless. Otherwise just submit cards for reholder. If they are low value, you will wait a month to get them back in new slabs fyi

Last year at the National, I had a MJ PSA 9 rookie reviewed. Not sure bc it was on site, but they didn't automatically reholder. After getting it back I asked and it was done no problem, just don't want just having it reholdered being the expectation. It is definitely a high end 9, Stan from 4SC said the probability of a bump was good and offered to buy it on the spot. Sending along a PSA 7 Gretzky OPC rookie that is currently a 7, but wouldn't be out of place in an 8.
